I had a few catches over the past 3 weeks, but nothing I'd take the time to post. This spring has been slower than previous years, but today, this pretty lady was not giving up on my top water plug. She hit it 3 times before I was able to cement our relationship. She and I are now mates forever. I'll love her always! She will never forget me either...

The fishing this year is sporadic at best. What is not sporadic is the tick infestation this year. Be careful out there my friends. This baby fought like a big guy. He was worth the 20 ticks I pulled off my pants!

I have felt that pain as well. That is why I bought "Bos-Mon" and "Knot At Work", but as you can see from my posts, the big ones generally still elude me. But I am working on it.

They look pretty good size, what's the recipe for these guys?

Sam Caramela

Nov 07 2016

I was told any way you can cook them is good. These were just big enough, but I put them back. Right now you can only take 1 @ 15". Come Nov. 16, you can take 6 until the end of the year. I'll bring my cooler then.

Due to insignificant things like work and finance issues, I am stuck here in New Jersey where I was born and raised. What were my parents thinking? Spring and summer are the only seasons worth living through and fishing takes up most of my spare time. You gotta love a hobby where you can learn something no matter how experienced you are.
