Catch date: Not Specified

Story date:2/14/2017 7:13:00 AM

Location:Manasquan Inlet NJ

Species:Herring

Might as well post up another bait photo while I'm at it. Here are some Herring (not on our species list?) , and some Mackerel jigged up to become bait. I know, Alot of people eat the Macks, I've tried it, and have also been treated to Mackerel Sashimi freshly prepared onboard the boat by another fisherman on a Mackerel trip, it was great. But I catch them for bait such as salted strips, frozen whole, and chunk bait. A few sometimes wind up as bait in my crab pot too. The Herring, again, I know guys who pickle them, good stuff, but bait for me.

About Fishin Dude
A little about me
Description:
I was born and raised in central NJ. My earliest fishing memories are catching Panfish with a cane pole, followed by Catfish with an old Zebco enclosed push button reel on a 3 ft pole using hotdogs as bait. Alot of time has passed since those days. I now travel to fishing locations by car, boat, or aircraft, instead of bycycle or a ride from my parents. I have met and swapped stories, tips, laughs, and tears with a variety of fishermen worldwide, from all walks of life, and made great friends too.
