Location:Loch Raven Reservoir MD

Species:Golden Shiner

I was hoping to go yak fishing today but as usual the weather did not cooperate so I thought I was going to miss my only fishing opportunity for the week. The thunderstorms did not show as promised and by mid afternoon the weather was promising enough to hit Loch Raven for a little shore fishing.

The plan was to find some shallower water (since it's still pretty cold) and work downed trees for Crappie and Yellow Perch. Keeping with my tradition of being a terrible pan fisherman, all I managed to land was this little Gizzard Shad and 14 inch Chain Pickerel.

If your wondering why I didn't post the Chainy, I'm keeping my other tradition of being a horrible photographer. Those photos are among some of my best bad photos.
