I was able to get in a couple hours of fishing today with my buddy @claydavis83 at a farm pond he has access to. Fishing was pretty slow but I was able to land some bass and crappie on a 3/8 feather fly. As day wore on and the fish became more selective so I had to resort to a technique that I learned very early in life, a worm and bobber.
In recent years I've updated my childhood technique to use a #gulp worm and a flutter spoon with a cork bobber. I also work the bobber like a poppin cork to prevent small bait stealers that will hit once the worm is hanging on the bobber. That's how I caught this red-eyed beauty.
