I don’t believe in “coincidences” Saturday was my birthday, and made the third year strait that my Dad and I were on party boats fishing. One other thing we have done in the last two years is go surf fishing when the boat docs. (Skunked this year unlike last season)We decided to get on the Super Hawk with Captain Steve at the helm. It was a packed boat for the 1PM to 5PM trip. Dad and I got the spots we like to fish when a boat is anchoring up…right rear corner. Right off the first drift the action was red hot until the last drop. Dad and I both only caught one “keeper” at 14” the bag limit for NYS is 8 fish. There were a few nice sized sea bass that were boated but not on our lines today. There was one guy in the “no man’s land” position (middle of the boat) that was able to limit out. This was the second time I’ve seen the no man’s land out fish the rear corner…I might have to try it on my next boat trip if I can. Catch’em up!
