There is nothing like standing on a rock pile in the dark, lit only by the moons light, and having the ocean crashing all around me while fishing. I visited my two rocks at night when I normally fish here for bluefish during daylight. The tide was right so I had to see if a bass would be in the mood for hitting either my bottle, needlefish , or heavy SP Minnow because that's all I have ever caught a bass with close by...chalk it up to the consistently rough sea conditions. Tonight I only had four to five footers coming at me but the current sweep was fast enough to only allow the heavy SP to stay down, and cause a fish to strike. I was a bit surprised because of how bright the moon was. when I had good cloud cover making it very dark the fish did not bite but only when the cloud cover was removed did the fish take my offering...only two fish on this night but hey no skunk...Stay Bent!
