Fishing Report:
I stuck with the spin rod after catching the largie with listening to a fascinating story about an all female debate team in Rowanda. Yes @jimmy the podcast was on. This bluegill fought more than the largie. He was so pissed that I caught him he kept chirping at me while still in the hook. Took me a while to grab him properly to get the hook out. Again, jig head with 1" minnow.

Did go back to fly rod to finish out my morning "meditation." If I were a fish, I would stay deep in the cool water as well. Two for the morning is better than what I've done all week.

Fishing Report:
After getting skunked yesterday from the breeze and heat with the spin rod. Time to go back to fly fishing for the afternoon. This guy was hiding just in the edge of a shady spot. Three other partners came over to check out my offering, in the end this one took the fly.

Don't adjust your screen. This fish IS upside down. My line hooked his pelvic fin. Hubby quickly took the pic so I could relieve this little guy. Using the fly rod with a wet fly the blue gills were complete fascinated with the fly while the bass had no interest.

Fishing Report:
Bluegills love the small dry fly wasp. only the second cast for this guy to hit. Later I tried a wet fly hoping for a Bass, instead managed to hook a turtle. I did my best to get the hook out. He was not happy and snapped the tippit before I could get my pliers near him.

Fishing Report:
Got a msg from #jimmy yesterday "Good day to go fishing, full moon." I was planning on tossing a line so was excited about some possible strikes. Zip! Zilch! Notta! Either Jimmy lied or it was because I was using my husband's jinxed rod. My reel crapped out on me after my catch on Friday.

After replacing the reel both hubby and I went fishing. His first cast netted him a catch. So it wasn't the rod. Hmmmmm...,

Anyway got two small bluegills today using a jig head with small minnow. Only got pic of one since it was a struggle to get the hook out of the other, immediately throwing him in once the hook was out. The peacocks are jumping but not biting. Must be the heat.

Fishing Report:
As soon as hubby left for his business trip, I grabbed the rod and headed to the front pond praying like heck the catfish didn't find his way there. I really love this alone time. I plug a Podcast in my ear and aimlessly cast without a care if I land something. As it happened tonight this Bluegill decided to join the serenity. He remained calm for me as I fumbled through getting the hook out. He must have known I was a rookie. Though it took a bit longer I got him safely back in the water without injury. Yeah me!

Life is about moments in time. I'm glad I got to share this one with you.

Fishing Report:
I switched to a small jig head with an 1 1/2" minnow searching for anything small. Kept casting with nothing nibbling. Called out to hubby, "You ready to go?" Yep, but he continued to cast. So I casted again and got this little guy. Getting the jig out of him was tough. He shook himself off the hook and onto the ground. Finally got him safely back in the water.

Went fishing for two hours and all I got was this little bluegill. I spent the rest of the time stalking a huge carp. Need to read up on what they like 'cause what I was offering they weren't even turning their head for.
