One of the slowest days of fishing I've had in a while. Caught the dreaded skunk.

Fishing Report:
Had an amazing time fishing with the #nysurfcrew . These guys take surf fishing to a whole different level. They aren't a crew that drops a line in and waits they scope out for Intel diving birds and rips close to the shoreline. Then they attack it felt like I was in the navy seals on a special ops mission. @shaka-antoine thanks for the invite had a blast. I need to be in much better shape hanging with your crew. I was dead Sunday after a whole day running the shoreline.

Fishing Report:
This trip was my last attempt at catching up with migratory Striped bass. Lou, Ragan, Margarito, and I set our sights up and down the cost of New Jersey with hopes of intersecting stripers...we never managed to find them. We traveled as far as Atlantic City, ocean city, Absecon, IBS, sea side...nothing. Lou felt we should've stayed with the bait we found on the jetty that a record striper was caught on in Ocean city to see if the fish find that bait. Looking back that probably was our best chance but we had other spots to check. Every spot we checked was the exact opposite from the last time we came...quiet!

Some might ask why I travel so far to fish...I go where the fish are or could be. Most of us travel three hours to Montauk some a few times per week so why not travel the same distance South West to NJ. I'm permitted from MA to NJ so I make sure I get my money's worth, and chase this migration. This season I have done just that, and I'm not quite done yet. I've got one more surf trip, and one last shot at Cod in me...I can't shake the feeling that I'm going to catch a 30lbs bass on the last day. It's better for me to go and try and not catch than to not go and wonder if I could pull it off. As Margarito said "it was a pleasure getting Skunked! With you on this trip”...fingers crossed Catch’em up!
