Fishing Report:
I had some time to kill in the evening before heading out in the morning for some Stripers. I headed over to the Gunpowder river just below the small Loch Raven dam to work on my non-existent fly fishing skills. The water was really low and I didn't bring my boots so I had to work still water with my dry beetle. I had a lot of strikes from 2-3 inch fish but couldn't hook up.

Right before I left I caught this little 3 1/2 Sunny whose only claim to fame is being my first Fly and first Tenkara catch. I really wish he was a 15 inch brown, but that's a fish story for another day.

Fishing Report:
I fished Loch Raven for a little while today off of Dulaney Valley road just north or the pistol range. The water in the lake was high but was pretty clear.

I was fishing old school with a Rapala Minnow and a Jitterbug. I had lots of little fish strike the jitterbug but the only real action was on the Rapala which landed 2 chain pickerel. This is the larger of the two around 20 inches.

Fishing Report:
My first Yak fishing keeper! He was caught on the Rhodes river south of Annapolis, MD bouncing plastic off the bottom. I couldn't manage a photo in the Yak . That's why my Yak is "Floating" on the grass and leaves of my backyard.
