Beautiful day at Centennial Park
Caught this guy during a team outing at Centennial Park. I think people running by were more shocked to believe there are a actually fish in that pond. Hot summers require soft plastic with a bit of finesse. Caught him on a wacky rig with a black power worm. Size nothing to brag about but fun to catch regardless.

Monster Cat
With all that chumming and bunker we were bond to catch a few these. Too bad we don’t eat em up this way.

Great day out on the water with Jimmy and Clay. No keepers on that day. They were too spread out over the fleet of boats probably 30 plus boats in one spot. We were throwing the right bait just couldn’t get on the big ones.

Trolled to the edge of the earth and back
Beautiful day on the Bay with Jimmy. We probably traveled to the edge of the earth and back and couldn’t get a single bite. Needless to say it was a perfect day for fishing but with low water temps the bite seemed to be turned all the way off. I think it’s that time to call it a season for me.

Frugal Smallies in Conowingo
Those Smallies are very particular about what they strike but when they do they destroy it. I’ve learned quite a bit this year. Last tournament on conowingo. One more tourney left in the season

What happens when you’re chasing birds on the Bay?
Well you might just hook one doh. Lucky for this little guy it was only tangled in the line. He was safely released to continue his hunt for dinner. Unlucky for us we weren’t able to hook up any dinner but had a blast tracking bait while following flocks of diving birds.

Morning fog Deep Creek Lake SQT
Caught two smallies on the Day nothing to brag about that's for sure. Caught them on a Senko. Placed 11th out of 22 riders Saturday but I'm glad to be on the board for once lol.

If you get chance you have to fish Deep Creek the smallmouth bite is like no other place. The views are amazing. It's really nice place for a weekend getaway for fishing

The Cranksta @terryb I was only able to land two. Two of the riders caught their limit in smallies but if I pulled up one lunker I might of had a chance :)

Down for the count Dead in the water
So while moving on to new fishing ground my boat suddenly lost compression and started bogging in and out almost leaving us dead in the water. Luckily captain Jimmy jumped into action and got us crawling back to the docks safely. Despite boat issues it was still a great day on the bay with my good buddy Jimmy.

The Cranksta @william thanks for the advice. It sounded like a fuel problem you might be right. Hope it doesn't cost me too much I should of reached to you guys first doh

The CrankstaI think Jimmy switched the lines to the back up tank. But maybe we should run it a little more. I didn't want risk it though being out there stranded.

CanuckIt does sound like a fuel problem, maybe the filter? Or it could be old gas if the tank was full over the winter. Good luck with it and please let us know what the problem is so I have a better clue if it happens to me. I also have a Merc. I feel your pain both with motor issues (All of mine have been electrical connections save one when my cooling water system clogged up) and watching my guest (even if it is a great guy like Jimmy) fill the boat while I captain it. Have you named her yet?
LikeReply 1 year
The Cranksta @canuck I'll let you know what they find out for sure. The motor is an old 88 Johnson 2 stroke and is most likely approaching end of days. I think I will name her "Major Pain" lol?? cuz that's what she's been putting me thru sense I got her.

Catch aaaaaand Release very quickly
The day started off promising. Jimmy and I hit the bay bridge hard in hopes of landing a few stripers. Got to give it to Jimmy he was pulling them up them up at every point but sadly the fish were pretty beat up and diseased looking. For me I struggled getting back into the groove of working the boat and fishing at the same time. Spent most of the time fumbling around while Jim caught all the fish lol. So we finally decided to make a move to get on better quality fish at another known hotspot when disaster struck...... To be continued....

Tournament coming up this weekend. I'm feeling a little jittery but looking forward to crushing the top water with my collection of Jitterbugs lol. Maybe it's over kill but sometimes you have to resort to the classics right @jimmy . Hope I can land a fish this time around lol

Wait this is a bass tournament!? Doh!
While fishing for bass I landed my first yellow perch ever in life on the most random lure ever. *shrug* well that's one way to start weeding out lures in the old tackle box. Note to self any lure that hooks anything but bass chuck it 😁🤔

CanuckLooks like a nice size Perch. Keep the lure, I have caught yellow perch on the very same lures that catch bass. Besides Yellow (and White) Perch can put up a great fight for their size and are fairly tasty.
