Tips/Techniques:Check your local Tides catch the high tide falling out current is very strong to stay on the bottom you might need a 3 Oz weight at times best of use a bottom rig with three weights get you some Fishbites bloodworms sandworms are clam strips if you're not getting any bites check your weight make sure you're on bottom if you're not on bottom you're not going any bites like I always keep all lines tight thanks for looking tight line Guide Service

Stackfish full
This was a post from yesterday's outing. These fish can run or swim which ever is your preference but they can't hide it took me a while to locate the skool and when I did they were hungry and I had just what they wanted to eat and for desert a nice #6 hook. I'm sure my senior neighbors are sitting there porch waiting on me and my catch.

BryanI went to bogue inlet pier on Friday night from 1am to 5am. I was fish with shrimp and sand fleas just behind where the waves were crashing but no luck. There were schools of fish all around because when you casted into the waterm they would scatter like shad in the lake. I thought I was about to wear them out but all I could get were tiny little mullet. I heard other people talking about how many spots they had caught at Virginia Beach. They have not come as far as Emerald Isle just yet it seems.

The Gangs All Here
September brings a lot of things when it comes in
Cool nites, shorter days and schools in, but not for just the kids but for schools of Spots that come through Va Beach like a tide wave. I love catching these fish there very aggressive hitters and are experts at spitting the hook. This school will have over 149 absent from the school.

Schools of Pan Fish
Got the word that the areas favorite pan fish were running in big numbers. I particularly don't like Spots but they are fun to catch and they bring out droves of people to catch them. Sweet tasting fish and a fairly good fight. I bagged 82 tonite.

Can't wait for the fall run of Spot that comes through Lynnhaven Pier each year. This is just a few of the large spot that are caught there each year last year... Lynnhaven pier a must on your fishing schedule September/October if you love Spot!!!

This is a past pic from early October when the Spots were running. Virginia Beach has some of the best spot runs. Lynnhaven pier and Inlet as well as Rudee Inlet. They are not my favorite fish to eat but visiting family loves them as well as co-workers. You can average anywhere from 10 to over a 100 in a short amount of time. Good frying fish. and can reach a lbs or more each fish....

Out on the #dragonrun on a stormy labour day weekend. The wind and waves were too high to go out in the boats so we fished from the nearly submerged dock. This obliging Spot took my drop shot worm to wash the skunk off me. Very kind of him. #nhba
