Here's a small blowfish also known as a blow toad caught this weekend while in Atlantic Beach, NC. More post coming from this weekends trip. Stay tuned as the NC Crew will be headed back to Avon, NC this week by special request for the season opening of Avon Pier.

Back on the water. The NC Crew decided to take our show on the road this weekend. We heard reports of nice Sea Mullet being caught down south so we headed that way looking for the two M's (Mullet & Members). That being said we hit Oceana Pier in Atlantic Beach, NC first and it didn't disappoint. We considered Day 1 a success.

Just a follow up post from today. Not many but enough for a meal and if not I'll just go to the "supply freezer" and add to some more to the batch. Can't beat it, easy to clean, easy to cook, and taste scrumptious!!!

Finally back to the water to fish. This time the NC Crew headed to Atlantic Beach, NC to fish with some fellow Stackfish members. The fish didn't cooperate like I wanted but managed to get a few Blow Fish. Real good eating. Also known as Chicken of the Sea in our area. Here's a picture of the first one of the day.

Just before it was time to pack it up and call it a day. I did what I usually do rigged up my shrimp and clam sandwich and tossed it under the pier and before you knew it one was on. 18inch keeper.

weather was great wind was blowing and there was movement with the water. The only thing was wrong we missed the in coming Tide. Fish moved to more deeper beyond our casting Ranger .Only fish left were these juvenile black drum so we enjoyed there company catching a bunch of the. Average size 10-13 inches they went back( under the size limit), but it was fun catching them.
Bait of choice What else shrimp
