Nothing Better
A full moon rise over the Chesapeake at dusk in the fall with the call of loons echoing across the water. Nothing beats that!

Striper Story Chapter 10. The long wait. Five fish in 2.5 hours, now it is my turn. We wait and we wait........ The Skipper has another charter set for 1300 so we know we have a limited amount of time. It is very nice out there and the guys I am fishing with are a great bunch so the time doesn't drag too much, OK it does. #dia

Striper Story Chapter 9. There had to be around 100 boats out there, most if not all of them fishing for Stripers. A few of them maintain radio contact throughout the trip. We had five fish aboard, no-one else had more than 2 and many had none. This guy decided to follow us for a while and hope we left him some. #dia

Striper charter - Chapter 5. Even on the heavy trolling rods and with 50 lb line it can be a struggle to get these big fish aboard. Here you can see the first mate hand-lining the fish to help the angler reel it in. The drag was set extremely tight and still the striper was hauling line off the reel as fast as he could retrieve it. All that effort for a stalemate until the first mate intervened. He is at serious risk of cutting his hands on that heavy fluorocarbon, but he's tough and dedicated. He didn't cut his hands. #dia

Striper Charter - Chapter 2. It didn't take long for the first strike to hit, since we were trolling we drew lots to determine the order for fighting the fish. I am 6th of the six guys fishing today. So for a while I will be just the photographer and once I land one we go in. Limit is one fish per person - must be over 35 inches. #dia
