Adding 3-D eyes to some Jigheads. They were self stick, but I figure they might stay on a little bit longer with a drop of glue.

I plan on expanding my soft plastics skills this season, experimenting with some new and different methods and presentations on a variety of species. Nothing wrong with fishing metal or hard plastic, or even the old bait-n-wait method, or any combination of those, they all produce, just always up for trying new things.

JimmyNothing beats the excitement of trying a new rig or new location for me. That's a big part of fishing's appeal, there is always some new to learn.

Shot of the custom pink & purple rod that I had made for my wife at Jersey Coast Bait & Tackle. It's her favorite rod, she uses it to catch everything.

JimmyGreat catch! Are you just getting big fish or are there a lot of shorts mixed in?

I received my Stackfish Big Fish Story Contest prize on my doorstep the other day. It's a large Boone insulated fish bag, and I do mean large. 30" x 65" to be exact.

It's really going to come in handy aboard my boat. My large center fishbox is great for larger fish and it holds alot of them, but its not really insulated well. I have thought about a few different ways to go about adding insulation to it so that ice will last all day or over night on those really King trips. I've done the old trick of adding salt to the ice, it has even frozen some fish it got so cold, but the ice melts after a few hours. This bag fits great inside the fish box, insulation issue solved! It had a drain plug so I can just drain it into the fish box, and pump it out via the fish boxes macerator.

I'm going fishing Saturday morning, Fluke and a few Black Seabass are my targeted spicies, which I usually just put my keepers into my livewell , keeps them alive until I get home most times. I'm going to test out the Boone bag with a few bags of ice on the hot summer day and see how long it lasts. I'll keep you updated.

Thanks Jimmy and everyone at Stackfish.com for adding to my fishing addiction.

This story is from last year. There was a listing on E-Bay for Live Green Crabs, guaranteed live delivery. Even though I live in a shore town on the Jersey Shore with numerous bait & tackle shops relatively close, I just had to order some to satisfy my curiosity. Well I came home from work and the package was in my mailbox. I opened it and sure enough, 2 dozen crabs, all alive. They were packed in a Styrofoam lined box with a small freezer pack ready to meet their fate in front of hungry Blackfish. Just proves you can buy anything online.
