A 35" striped bass from a few years back. If memory serves, there was only one other bass caught on that trip.

First keeper of the night at 29 inches. Just prior to this I caught a 27 inch short. Better than anticipated night of clamming bass. I boated a total of 4 (took high Hook honors) while missing another 4 bites. 18 fares accounted for just 4 keepers and 6 shorts. I would later add a 31.5" bass which won the pool.

My son and I made our first trip of 2017. We didn't know what to expect after all the rain we had a date perturbed drop. Water was muddy but we had our first fish (see picture) in the boat within 5 minutes of lines in. Majority of the fish were between 26-27.5 inches but we still managed to put 4 keepers on ice from 28-31 inches out of the 30 we boated. Everything caught trolling Rapala X-Rap 20s and 30s.

Fought this 40" cow for about 20 minutes from the surf. I would have released her but the fight injured her throat really bad. Caught on a whole fresh clam.

JimmyNice catch! How are you cooking those guys? I haven't had them since I was a kid and I haven't been able to land one large enough to refresh my memory on how they taste.

CapnBlaqSparrowI actually filet them and if you cut away as much of the red strip that runs down the center of the filet the meat is pretty good. I bake everything I catch because I rarely eat fried food.

CapnBlaqSparrowYeah I love fight in bluefish. The gorilla blues give me a huge rush. They are some fierce fish.
